About the music
This song was written on Christmas Eve 2019. GEA experienced a weird and deep sadness. She came home and let her tears take shape through her piano. Four days after Christmas Eve GEA found out that her friend Canadian Inuk artist Kelly Fraser had died. GEA knew instantly that her song is connected to her death.
"After Kelly's family's announcement confirming her death as suicide, pieces fell into place. I understood that the divine A&R had given me her point of view to share with the world and to make sure her legacy would live on."
The song is performed by renowned kantele artist Maija Kauhanen and two other well established Finnish female artists: Mila Laine on cello and Anni Huhtisaari on piano. This is the first song that GEA sings in Finnish, her native language.
