'Million Dollar baby' is the name of both the fifth and final song, and the whole EP/ passion project that Mentum has been working on this summer. Together with; Like Us Better, Little Bit of Luck, I Let Go, and Time, Million Dollar Baby rounds up this summer's endeavor on a high.
The song is a chill, romantic pop song, with a contemporary electronic dance vibe that portrays a hopeful and warm attitude.
Some parts, like the post-chorus, are inspired by Phil Collins's characteristic sound and style,
and although the song has a modern touch, it still manages to convey the nostalgic and melancholic atmosphere that the 80s is known for.
Million Dollar Baby is a sparkling and bouncy tune with flowy vocals and a pulsing beat.
The campaign will help to promote the EP all over the world with ads, and a billboard on Times Square. It will also be used on setting up a concert in Oslo☀️
Million Dollar Baby depicts the initial phase of a relationship when that one person makes your world spin on its head and captivates you in such a magnetic way that you don’t really know what to do with yourself... other than surrender to the tenacious affection.
Norway-based artist duo Mentum expresses themselves through a synthesis of contemporary Pop and Dance Music. Since Tim and Finn first met in 2014, they’ve been experimenting with different sounds and musical paths. Through early influences such as Blues, Classic Rock, and Pop - to House, Disco, and Electronica - they embody a rare diversity of musical impulses, which has now shaped into the artist-duo we know as Mentum.
Since their 2016 debut, Mentum has (in addition to their solo singles and EP releases) collaborated with artists and producers such as R3hab, K-391, Mike Perry, Gabry Ponte, Sam Feldt, Tungevaag, and Helion. Prolific, ambitious, and ever-evolving, Tim and Finn have made a name for themselves as one of Norway’s biggest independent acts.
