Emotions by Emery Kelly
Corite has launched its first collection of digital merch for US artist Emery Kelly. Free from physical limitations, merch is not just a t-shirt or a poster. These Emotions glasses can be shown off in profile images wherever you live online and later at Corite’s blockchain platform, soon to be launched in its first version.
UPDATE:
A final snapshot of the wallets holding Emotions NFTs has been done on 26 September. The snapshot with all allocations can be found here
The result of this snapshot can't be overruled and any trades beyond this point will not affect the allocations.
Each holder that is eligable for a CO allocation will be able to claim their CO tokens on the BNB Chain on corite.com/emotions on 8 October at 14.00 UTC, which is 10 days after listing.
The final day to claim CO tokens will be 31 May 2023 14:00 UTC.
Bonus: Holders with super rare and groups of 8 unique Emotion NFTs can claim their CO tokens from 13.00 UTC on 28 September. Claim your CO tokens on the BNB Chain here corite.com/emotions
Congratulations to all holders that qualified and thanks for supporting great music!
This article aims to detail how the NFTs rarity is determined and the mechanics for the different rewards that some holders will be getting.
In general, corite.com/emotions will serve as the starting point for unlocking any benefits tied to an NFT and for learning how to claim it. Typically this means connecting with MetaMask to confirm which, if any, Emotions NFT your wallet has and then present information based on that.
Each buyer has received a random Emotions NFT. They range from being super rare and one of a kind to some being limited editions. All NFTs holders will also be rewarded Fan Power tokens on Corite, which in turn will be used to reward users over time on the Corite platform.
When Emery Kelly’s album is released, everyone who is a holder of the NFT will be invited to a live streamed event. Since we don’t know the identity of the holder at that time, we will post about the event in Emery’s and our social channels, for people to sign up to participate.
When Corite’s $CO token is released, holders of an Emotions NFT will get a chance to be whitelisted for that too.
How the NFTs were randomized
As shown on the Emotions landing page, there are three main traits which make up each NFT: Emotion, Expression and Fan Power. These have eight different values each. The distribution of each trait was weighted to ensure different rarity levels. Simply put, there are much less NFTs with a Fan Power of 2,000 than there are with a Fan Power of 50. However, when the NFTs were randomized, the combination may well be more rare: Anger could randomly be paired with a Kool Kevlar case and a Fan Power of 250. Only after each NFT is minted did we know how many of each type there were.
There were also some NFTs which used video. In fact, 100 out of a possible total of 2,000 were video. These are therefore generally more rare and vary in Fan Power, but don’t have the Expression in the form of a case.
Finally there is also an intensity value, which is based on the Wheel Of Emotions, where an emotion can be seen as having different intensity, ranging from 1 to 3, where Annoyance is 1, Anger is 2 and Rage is 3. As an effect, this is an extension of the emotion itself, not an independent value. This means however, that the intensity is more or less rare based on the available emotions.
When comparing all these parameters together, Emotion, Expression, Fan Power, Intensity and Video or Image, we can determine how rare a particular Emotion NFT is.
Which NFT holder will get a $CO allocation?
There were potentially 2,000 NFTs available, but only 1,795 of these ended up being minted. Only after they were minted could we determine how rare each NFT was. As it turns out, rarity ranges from 1 of 1 up to some being 1 of 33, i.e. much more common.
The $CO allocation will be based on a random draw, but the difference in rarity will determine each NFT holder’s chances: this means the 1 of 1 NFT will have 1,795/1=1,795 chances of winning while the most common NFTs only get 1,795/33=54 chances of winning. All rarity scores are added up, which then makes up the pool from which to draw. This way all NFT holders will have a chance to get allocation.
The details
- Ahead of the allocation we will make a snapshot of all wallets to determine which owns a collection of all 8 Emotion NFTs. As communicated before, these wallets are immediately qualified for an allocation.
- Any NFT which was ”super rare” will be immediately qualified for allocation. You can check your NFT at corite.com/emotions or, if you prefer, check the OpenSea data to see if your NFT says ”AR”, which means it included a hidden Instagram filter, or if it says ”Meet and Greet”, which could be used once to meet with Emery Kelly online.
- The other NFTs to be awarded allocation will be drawn based on the rarity as described above. Note that holders of a collection of all eight Emotions and the super rare NFTs will be included in this draw, which means that their NFTs could get them additional allocation.
- Each NFT can only get allocation one time in the draw.
- Each winning NFT will be awarded 5,000 $CO tokens.
- The total pool is 1,500,000 $CO tokens and it will be shared by up to 300 holders in total (depending on how many holders are immediately qualified).
- The allocation will be handled in sync with our listing partner or partners and all allocations will be pending KYC and any requirements our listing partner may have at the time of the allocation.
What’s next
As we’re preparing for our listing, we’ll post in our announcement channel on Telegram and our other social channels to make everyone aware. As before, you can also check out corite.com/emotions. Update: To make it easier for you to check the rarity level of an NFT, we've summarized it in this Google Sheet.
